Frequently Asked Questions
The Prosperity Blueprint is designed for high school students, grades 9-12. However, the ideal time for students to complete the program is 10th and 11th grade when they are in the process of thinking about careers and next steps after high school.
As a self-study program, the amount of time it takes a student to complete it will vary. However, the average amount of time it takes to complete is around 15 to 20 hours.
As a self-study program, The Prosperity Blueprint was designed so that teachers do not need to learn the material in order for their students to learn it. Not only does this save teachers time, but it also means that teachers that assign it as coursework outside the classroom.
Upon purchase, you will receive an email with a list of codes (one per student). Educators will give these to students, which will enable them to create their own account and access the program online.
Each student will have access to their online course portal indefinitely. However, each code provided will expire at the end of the school year.
The program does not have built-in grading as a good deal of the exercises and work is subjective and personal to the student. However, the course is broken out into sections, which each end with exercises. These exercises consist of open-ended questions or multiple choice questions. Teachers may choose to grade coursework by having students return their answers to each section.
While teachers may choose to have students complete the program in class, the program is often assigned as homework or as a special project, which students can complete on their own time.
The online program is available for the entire school year, which we consider to be from August 1st through July 1st.
The program is broken out into the following five sections: career exploration and planning, saving, budgeting, money management, and growing money.
The printed workbook and the online course include the same exact information. The main difference is that the online course is more affordable than printed workbooks — especially for larger schools and those on a tight budget.
The Prosperity Blueprint is not your standard financial literacy program. Instead, it covers the practical lessons that people face in the real-world. For this reason, we recommend teaching it as a supplement to your existing financial literacy coursework.
We believe that financial literacy should be available to all students and so the program is available online and in print. The physical print version is best for schools that do not require students to have laptops or tablets.
The physical workbook also comes with the benefit of providing students with a quick resource where they can access a hands-on record of their financial plans, projections and goals.
We understand budgets are tight. Schools often cover the cost of The Prosperity Blueprint though fundraising via their parent-teacher associations/organizations. Additionally, local businesses are often happy to help support schools in their community by gifting them the program. On top of that, we also offer scholarships for schools in need. Scholarships provide schools in need with a discount ranging from 30 to 100 percent off the program cost for the online version.
